Support
This newsletter is a labor of love.
But it does have expenses.
These are our current operating costs:
Monthly Operating Costs
Newsletter hosting: $39
Zoom Pro: $15
Transcription Editing (by a former teacher!): $200
Promotion: $80
5 hours per week labor (1 post + admin): Donated
Currently Monthly Expenses: $334
Amount Needed (+10% Stripe Processing Fee): $372
During our launch months, I self-funded these expenses, in addition to donating 10-15 hours per week of labor to research and write two posts per week. (Yes, it was a little nuts.)
What Your Money Does
In the first six months, I single-handedly brought readers:
19 interviews with a diverse range of former teachers, amplifying and giving voice to the experience of leaving teaching
9 resource posts, including roundups of free job boards and resume resources
14 reported and narrative posts on phenomena in the teacher transition world, from teacher stigma to grief, the end of the DOE to the normalization of crying in your car
Our first guest post!
Remember, there is no other publication dedicated exclusively to the teacher transition process.
Your support enables me to continue to do this work. The more we bring in, the more we can do: run more interviews, pay guest contributors, offer more opportunities to network and connect. Leave a Tip Jar donation here:
Not able to give at this time? No problem. There are other ways to support this work.

And even as a free subscriber, you can share this newsletter with other transitioning teachers—and earn some stickers.
Thank you for helping to sustain this space for teachers to share their stories and support each other in the transition process.
